Classic Carrot Cake

Happiness through carrot cake

Do you think it’s possible to find happiness through a carrot cake? Or any cake for that matter? I believe that it is possible and I’m gonna tell you exactly how so ๐Ÿ™‚

First of all, I have been a huge fan of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting ever since I had my very first slice ๐Ÿ™‚ That first bite of a beautiful, fluffy cake is the best in my opinion – it’s pure enjoyment.ย I’m one of those people, who love baking, so I’ve been in the search for the best recipe, which have been quiet the challenge, but I think I finally found it (Find the recipe at the end of this blog post) ๐Ÿ™‚

A happy process

For me, baking is a process – a happy process. I like to take my time to find out, what I’m craving and what sort of cake I want to bake – I normally find inspiration on Pinterest. After that I start preparing; putting on some good music, putting up my hair, washing my hands, finding all the things I need and then I can start baking. I take my time, while baking as it’s a time to enjoy as well as a fantastic way to take your mind of things and relief any stress.

Wonderful aromas

Have you ever thought about the bubble of delicious aromas that surrounds you, when you’re baking? The floral sweetness of honey, the wonderful christmassy aroma of cinnamon or the woody fragance of nutmeg as you are adding and mixing the ingredients. And then when the cake is in the oven the smell of freshly baked cake start to fill into the kitchen and the rest of your home. These aromas equals hygge (Danish word similar to cosiness) and happiness in my world ๐Ÿ™‚

Giving to others

It is well documented that giving will make one feel extremely good and help boost ones confidence – Especially when it’s something created with love.

Making others happy is one of my favourite things in life – and what better way to make someone happy than with a piece of carrot cake ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. I do agree with you that baking is a happy process. Some find it therapeutic to bake or cook. I’m not at that point yet, but I do enjoy it sometimes! Cleaning and organizing makes me happy right now!

My dad likes Carrot Cake, but he is extremely picky with different versions though! We recently got little cake-in-a-mug packets at the store last week and one of the flavors was in carrot cake, I still don’t know if he’s tried it yet…
